Heavily inspired by Wings of Fire. + +- Zenith is a continent mainly inhabited by Dragons, segregated by heritage. The white dragons live in the northern tundra, green in the jungle, etc. Most are bigoted, especially against the most opposite type. For example, the fiery arrogant red dragons dislike the lazy aquatic sea dragons. (Perhaps chromatic vs metallic also comes into play here?) + +- The gods of this world are dead; the dragons killed them. They view this as something to celebrate, a liberation. + +- Dragons created Kobolds (or should I use Dragonborn?) to be slaves. + +- The nations have a long history of bickering, warring, and bigotry. It was only 70 years ago that the nations managed to be peaceful for once, establishing a continental pact and ruler to keep the peace. + +- Humans exist, but are extremely scarce (especially since the gods died). The creation of Kobolds was inspired by the human form. Perhaps humans reside on another continent and they've learned to avoid Zenith at all costs. + +## What's happening? + +- 25 years ago the prince of the Red Dragons, Solaire, famously fell in love with his Kobold vassal. They, and a handful of the prince's comrades disappeared. The world didn't know they'd formed a secret society known as Wings Unbound, and conspired to change the world. + +- Wings Unbound headquartered underground, forming a village inside massive ancient caves of past Dragons who hid from the gods. + +- Early on, Wings Unbound stole eggs from the royal hatcheries of multiple nations. They hoped to raise a generation of royalty away from the world with equitable, diverse values. This created an outrage and blame game from multiple nations, but the culprits were never found. + +- They create a propaganda network, in part to spread a (made up) prophecy of a diverse group of Dragons who will save the world and bring prosperity. + +- The players are the stolen away royalty, raised in secret within the caves. + +- The queen of Zenith is unexpectedly dead with no obvious heir. The many nations of Zenith are about to enter a bloody conflict for the throne. + +- Wings Unbound is finally discovered and the players are forced to flee, seeing the surface for the first time. They are told they must bring peace to the world, that they must fulfil the prophecy (which they do not know is fake).
